Marten River Escapes is a for-profit small business.
Contributions made through this campaign are voluntary and are not tax-deductible as charitable donations under CRA rules.
Funds raised may be used toward any combination of construction costs, safety compliance requirements, essential utilities, provincial and municipal obligations, supplier accounts , staffing needed for operations, property taxes, maintenance of critical equipment, or any other operational expenses required to keep Marten River Escapes open and restore full guest services. All contributions are final and non-refundable, as they directly support the ongoing survival and rebuilding of our small business.
All funds contributed will be used to restore, sustain, and support the ongoing operations, repair, or rebuilding of our facilities, including the restoration of services such as food, fuel, and accommodations. Funds may directly support construction materials, contracted trades, and finish work needed to complete the rebuild. Some of the funds raised may be used to clear outstanding operational invoices, such as previous seasons fuel, propane, and hydro delivery balances, which must be cleared in order to qualify for and secure new deliveries. To keep operations running, a portion of funds may support essential staffing needed for construction, maintenance, and reopening. A portion of funds may support essential provincial and municipal obligations such as property taxes, municipal service costs (waste disposal, fire response fees) which ensure the business can remain in good standing, open and operational. Funds may help maintain essential utilities needed for safe guest services (hydro, propane, water system maintenance, internet, septic pumping). Funds may support property safety needs such as insurance, snow removal and grounds maintenance. Funds may help repair or replace essential equipment required for safe and reliable guest services. Funds may be used for any required safety repairs, inspections, or compliance measures necessary to legally and safely open. These expenses are directly tied to restoring food, fuel and accommodation services ensuring we can operate for upcoming seasons.
